Help! My limited paypal account is suddenly paying back customers.
 

I had £500 in my paypal account when it was limited. So when ebay suspended my account Tey sent out a message to customers who are now taking advantage after using my product are now claiming money back and paypal is just paying them as I have no say in the matter! Now I only have £287 but my worry is they use all that and dip into my bank account. Do I close my paypal account and forget the money? Would they still access my bank account? What should i do?

Did you send any of the items with tracking?

What was the reason the PayPal was limited?

I was selling a digital products t which I would send out by email. So paypal limits my account claiming it's counterfeit... Most of my customers were satisfied if only paypal would check my feedback. Once paypal limited mu account, ebay also suspended me. So ebay sends out cancellations to all my customers and now they are getting paid back? Problem is I have no say in the matter! PayPal is just paying out. Can I remove my bank account form paypal?

That is the problem with selling digital goods. Its why we advise against it time and time again on the forum.

If the account goes into negative balance then you will need to pay it.

So Paypal will deep into my bank account? No way! Would it help if I close my paypal account? Forget the balance?

If you owe PayPal money you need to pay it.

Simple as that.

Ebonybeau - yes I had the same thing. PayPal refunded all of the customers, was hundreds of £ reversed

Callidus did you try to contest it? My problem is that some customers even left feedback but paypal is still refunding them? Surely if you leave positive feedback means you were happy with the product? I feel so helpless... The fact that I have absolutely no say in the matter! I might just pop round the bank and close my bank account. . I will not pay paypal money for a product that has been already used. They can take me to court for all I care!

This is probably slightly different though as you were limited and they do make customers aware of this. Same with the whole eBay thing when they take your listing down and send a generic 'panic' email to customers who all open cases.

My issue might of been slightly different to this. Think an account I was using was found to be stealth.

Awww thanks for your help! I really hate when ebay sends out that panic email.. like seriously get your facts right! Oh well I guess a trip to the bank will do me ok

I have not read all of the replies so sorry if this is a duplicate...

Paypal can and will dip into your bank account, at least in the USA. Close the bank account if this is a concern.

If you owe PayPal money (or eBay fees for the matter) then you need to pay it.

Its as simple as that.

The forum is not here to advise on how to avoid repaying eBay and PayPal
