Should I close my bank account?
 

Ok so here is my current status. I sent money to my friend using pre paid cards I had, I did this so I can have the cash in PP instead of many gift cards. My account got limited. It has been in review for over a week, they let my bank deposits to process but im still waiting on them to go through. When this all happened i had a 0 account balance. Now its -4k and my friends is about the same. I got paid for some stuff off ebay and did not ship it because my account is on hold, I was going to give refunds but I cant since its limited. I assume my account is going negative. I just have a few questions.

Also, this is my real account, not a stealth.

1. will paypal put the funds back on the 8 cards i have linked?
2. will paypal take money out of my bank account to resolve the negative balance?
3. should I close my bank account after the money goes through?
4. should I contact PP in anyway?

You guys are linked and paypal will probably send it to debt collectors if it stays in the red.

Agreed, that's a big big negative paypal balance to have, unless you sort you are pretty screwed!!

Since this is a real account with real info, you need to resolve that negative balance. Otherwise, debt collector will come after you for sure.

Why not resolve the issue?
Call paypal and figure out what you need to do.

What kind of real info does it have? Is there a SSN attached to the paypal.

I am sure u are allowed refunds when limited
sends goods u have been paid for
talk to paypal and yes they can take money from the bank account:yar:

Update: called and they said they will be returning the funds to all my prepaid debit cards. Im trying to find a way to use these to get my account out of the negative

UPdate: account is out of the negative, have about 3k worth of giftcards. Each card has about 200-300 on it. Anyway to cash these in?

Are these physical giftcards? Why not look into Square

Square, Stripe - decent services to cash them out BUT you must space them out so you are NOT flagged for gift card cash out

Going to be a big risk to cash out those with either Stripe or Square.

They monitor carefully.
