Paypal and ⊗⊗⊗⊗ telephone number
 

I accidentally put in a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ telephone number for my paypal account.

Since I made it I purchased a new sim card specifically for this. I put this new number on my ebay account when i created it.

My questions is this:

Should I change the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ telephone number in my paypal to my new real one so it matches the real phone number i already put on my ebay account?

My paypal is maybe 1 week old, verified with a bank account added but has yet to receive a payment.

You should definitely change your phone #s to ones that actually work incase they call and check. But the phone # should be different for ebay and paypal so that you will not get linked if one goes down.

once he made that payment from that Paypal account for the SIM card, werent the accounts linked their?

I didn't use PP to purchase the sim card. My PP has not been used for anything yet except to link to Paypal.

just call your cell phone company and have them change your number

getting fifty million phones/sims is tiring just for the off chance they will phone especially with multiple acs, , question- cant you just put the main number of a big company and if they called, which as far aik they havent done for me ever (might be diff in uk), it wont be non working number just alot of people in building and operator cant find the named person. if they email you then you know they are looking for you, give them a mobile number and you can pop sim in.

You might get flagged for that. It is one thing where they call a working # but no one picks up, but it's another thing when someone picks up but can't find you. You are betting on the reception to say the right thing but you have no idea what they will say. If they say something like "you got the wrong #" or "there is no such person" then your acct is toast. You can't take short-cuts here, either do it the right way or don't do it at all and save your self the stress.

I would suggest using some phone forwarding service that forwards all the #'s to one main phone # so that you wouldn't have to switch around sim cards and worry not being able to pick up the call.
