Calling PP with a call forwarding number

Ive read that it works but I need a second opinion. Calling with a vumber phone number. I always thought paypal could see through the forwarded phone number? Correct me if Im wrong.

I'm not posative but I think it depends on if you call the 800 number or the 402 number.. the 800 can't see it........ someone correct me if I'm wrong

I think its the other way around. As SWIM called using Vumber and it asked which account am I calling about, Premier or Business. When I only opened a business account with the Vumbered one. So thats why Im asking.

I would think the 402 number would be easier to hide. Ive just heard you cant hide your number from 800 lines.

But if anyone has any experience please share!

I call the 402 number and they always ask "Would you like to add this number your calling from to this account?" I just yell NO. I call from my store phone, sisters phone, mother's phone. Never the same number. They always ask which account, premier or business. I think it's just a standard question. I had a bad experience with the 800 number once so I never call that one. You can't hide even with the star feature on any 800 account. Learned that the hard way with another business outside of ebay.

You can't star 67 ANY 800 number for the record.

How would they see through the number? The way I see it (and correct me if I'm wrong) is that you call a number which PBX's you to another number which in turn dials the end number.

So basically all PayPal would see is the number at the end of the PBX which would be your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ number. Right?

Maybe you just got unlucky and accidentally got a recycled number someone had awhile back. It's possible...
