Default Paypal just decided to release my funds today

I got the 180 day holding period email on January 3rd. I was like, whatever, I'll have a nice little present coming this summer.. Checked my email this morning, and BAM. They sent me an email saying "Your Paypal funds are now eligible for withdrawal."

Wonder why they deciding to release my funds early? Oh well, I'm pretty excited.

I still don't understand how they can hold money for 180 days especially if you deliver the product. Total BS!

Because when they Limit your account it's due to risk, so to protect themselves and members they hold funds for 180 days which is the max time allowed for anyone to make a charge back on there credit card after a purchase

And at the end of the 180 days you get whatever is left if there was returns, or chargebacks it's covered

But this year, it seems that they are going with 45 day limitation much more

I also have 180 days limitation for trying to send 100% of available funds to a different paypal acc.

Lots more 45 days in the UK as well, although there still seems to be only partial releases at that date. May change in the near future.

OP how many days after you were first limited did you get the 180 day hold period email? I have recently been limited, but no email.

Not that I have experience this Pay Pal hold for very long time.

But happy for those who are getting their money within 45 days.
