Advice on what to do
So like many others, one of my accounts that was limited was released for withdrawal. I have over $2000 in it. Every time I try to withdraw it says it doesn't recognize my computer and needs to verify, when I choose receive text, it won't work, when I choose to receive a phone call, won't work. Only option left is verify public info, but the name is not real and not mine, not even close. Should I wait a few days and try again? Should I just leave it and let them keep whatever is in there? |

If you dont have access to original number, than worth a shot to try calling them and see if they can approve manually |

| This is exactly what happened to me!
Download the paypal app and do it through there when you press withdraw it will say error first one or two times then after that it goes through.
Worked a charm for me

| That's just bad advice, if the OP doesn't have access to the Address, what good will that do? Also, cashing a cheque in someone else's name might not be a good idea. |

| This solution comes with a price, can't ever use the same device + App with multiple accounts....they will get linked in a heart beat. |

| Why not? A factory reset of the device will clear any trace from the previous login. In case of an Android phone you just need to clear the cache and data from the PayPal app. I've used this method many times with never any link.
Besides if you are withdrawing from limited accounts it doesn't matter if they get linked as they are useless anyway. |

| Doesn't matter what you clear or reset, Every device has a unique device identifier and The Ebay app logs all that....so you can reset, reinstall, etc it won't matter. Quote:

| The point is, if people read that it's ok to use the app they will think it is safe to use the apps between stealth accounts, when in fact it's not! |

| Several people HAVE been linked using the Apps, now if you feel using the apps is worth the risk then by all means keep using it....what we are trying to do on this forum is advocate "safety" and if we can have people NOT get linked then we have helped someone keep their accounts alive. Quote:
