| | | ardwark | 04-22-2015 08:48 AM | Limited account, can i just wait it out till reset? Hi, newbie here, hope I'm posting in right section.
This might be a dumb question but here it goes.
So recently i stupidly received a little over the yearly paypal limit and my account got limited. The thing is, i received the limitation 2 weeks before the limit would reset.
So i wonder, what is going to happen if i just wait for the limit to reset?
Will i be able to withdraw money i have on my acc? Or do i have to go through the resolution center stuff?
I read it can be pain the ass, so i would rather not go through with it.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |

The future depends on the notice of limitation
:spy: |

:spy: | Hi,
I'm in Czech Republic and I got limited because quote: You have received €2,500 or more in total payments to your PayPal account in this calendar year
I received email with the notification on April 1st
Need anything else? |
Re: Limited account, can i just wait it out till reset? Welcome to the forums OP - likely the limitation will NOT come off automatically. Need to make backup accounts and build them. But yes - answer GB's clarification on the platform. |

I think i probably don't understand what exactly it is you guys want me to specify now :help: :noidea: (my newness shows)
anyway, thanks for the welcome, and that really sucks if it won't come off by itself. |
| Bunneh | 04-22-2015 11:06 AM | Re: Limited account, can i just wait it out till reset? if you did not reach the receiving limit you would have been able to wait for the reset,
But you did get the limitation for nearing the receiving limit so now you will HAVE to supply the ID documents as paypal gives you 135 days to add them.
The limitation will not go away until you add the documents. It also will not reset either because your account is flagged for documents.
If you do not add documents at all, your account will be closed after 135 days passes. |

Thanks for the reply.
Now, if i may bother you guys a bit more.
I checked the resolution center and they want A valid photo ID for account holder and Proof of address
Is that all they want? Or will there be more steps once i send all this.
And what is paypal going to do with all the information?
All the cash i received was from art commissions, are they going to need invoices and such? Because i don't havy any.
I never signed anything with the guy that is paying me for the art since he is my friend.
Am i screwed or is it safe to send the proofs?
Thanks for the help and sorry for asking dumb questions. |
| wired | 04-23-2015 01:36 AM | Re: Limited account, can i just wait it out till reset? You are under the standard money laundering limitation, it is not a 'account is limited with no chance ever of getting it back' limitation.
So provide the documents, and you should be ok at this level, if the documents are accepted and they feel they are genuine and not ⊗⊗⊗⊗. You will know normally in 2-4 days if you are OVER the recieving limit, 10-14 days if you are over the warning limit (around £1650) and 10-28 days if you are under the limit (which you aren't so that matters not) |

So they just want to make sure i'm actual person or something and not if i have everything in order, invoice wise perhaps? (i'm very paranoid)
Anyway, thanks everyone for the replies. |

Anyway, thanks everyone for the replies. | If you are completely legit and you've got nothing to hide - then you've got nothing to lose by sending in the required documents.
Being a paranoid can only slow things down, you had better take action mate.
Provide the documents and please share the conclusion with the forum members.
Best of luck. |

Best of luck. | well, the thing i'm worried about is that i got all the cash by art commissions, but i didn't sign any contracts or anything, which i'm afraid might get me in trouble. |
| oompaloompa | 04-24-2015 12:00 PM | Re: Limited account, can i just wait it out till reset? now it has been triggered, so just empty the paypal if you are able to do so, and then do the verification, if it passes it is a really great feeling to have your limits lifted.....and if it fails, you will know for the next acc you own.... |

I can't empty the paypal anymore and i have some $250 on there at the moment.
It's not a huge deal, but i would obviously still like to send it to my bank acc.
So before i send them photos of my ID and phone bill, i just want to make sure, i won't get in trouble for those commissions or anything.
I honestly don't know what to expect from this, how is paypal going to use the information i provide?
Anyway, you guys have been super helpful, thanks for taking you time answering my stupid, paranoid questions. |
| stuartalex | 04-27-2015 04:42 PM | Re: Limited account, can i just wait it out till reset? I have limited Paypal accounts dating back years and they have closed none of them ever.
One of the clauses in the Resolution Centre stops members from closing limited accounts even after the 180 day limit has passed.
I can still log in but the account is limited .
They won't close them and I can't close them. |
| oompaloompa | 04-28-2015 04:20 AM | Re: Limited account, can i just wait it out till reset? I know, it is a bit disconcerting to have them still hanging around in a non-closed state.
about these commissions you are worried about OP, I do not think you will get in trouble. You are worried they are virtual or services type of transaction? with no shipping, or some other reason? in any case, if there are no disputes about them, they probably will not ask you about these transactions. Alot of services are done via paypal, i never had an issue actually.....
there is obviously some reason why they think you are risky, maybe you over-did
the virtual stuff and got reviewed. |
