180 Day Paypal Funds
So I wanted to ask a lawyer about Paypals 180 Day holds that don't get released, here is how it went. Hope this helps.
Me:
According to PayPal, after 180 days past the initial Permanent limitation the money still inside the Paypal may be withdrawn freely. It's been 200 days now and PayPal still is holding my money. Is there a letter I can send PayPal to get them to release my money?
Lawyer:
You need to send a demand letter for the money or have a CA attorney write one for you.
Me:
Thank You for your prompt answer. What would be a typical cost of such letter? Also, does the letter need to be notarized?
Lawyer:
About $100.00. No not notarized but it should be sent certified/return receipt requested. Then if they do not pay, you will have to file an action -- which, depending on the sum, may be done in small claims court so as to keep your costs down. |
