Unable to withdraw after Business upgrade
 

After upgrading to a business account and adding my Corp and EIN info, I'm no longer able to withdraw funds to my bank. It is asking for my personal information. I tried bypass that screen by going to another PP URL but when I click withdraw again I'm taking back to the screen asking for last 4 ssn, dob and address. I don't know what to do next, I've upgraded to business accounts in the past with no issues. Can someone advise me on what to do? Thanks.

Happened to me couple weeks ago. Before you were able to upgrade with no problems but they changed it up now. Not sure how to advise to because I stopped using that paypal account because of this problem. Best of luck.

Try logging out and than log in using a new browser, this worked for me

hoping this is a glitch, but preparing for it to be a new safety measure. it seems pretty widespread...

lets cross our fingers guys... and hopefully find the cause

OP- how many withdrawals did you perform before making the switch?

yep, some new BS. i just got this message when upgrading to business account a few days ago as well. Had already entered a business EIN but then asked for last four digits of SSN. I figure they can't verify a person with only 4 digits so I put some random digits and hit submit.. Can only wait and see what happens, and let you all know if it worked. :)

There was around 1300 and I did 3 withdraws of $300 left $300 in the account, the day before upgraded. When I called they were not worried about anything. Since I noticed there was a problem after I upgraded I still had the personal PP session running on another browser and I withdrew another $300 and left $150.

That's what I'm planing to do when I receive more funds and then withdraw, if something happens I do not want them staying with my funds. :mad2:

If I stop using that PP without putting in the last four of the ssn, any chance of it getting limited further? I ask because I rotate PP accounts on the same eBay account once I get close to 20k. Maybe if I start using a new PP for the eBay account everything would be ok as far as the eBay account staying alive. The eBay account is about a year old limits have been increased to 175/8750 plus it's a power seller. The eBay account is under legit info.

I took the chance and entered random info. I'll give an update down the road. If I can use this account for another month I don't mind if a lose it. I have a 90 day aged account ready to replace this one in case something happens.

Any update? Because i cannot access the account now.... have 2+k in there, and it wants this information.

Do you mean that you've entered a random 4 digits info when you created your PP? And now your account is limited and they ask for full SSN?

Try to wait and do not logging for at least 48hours.
Sometimes waiting solves everything.

yah i took a chance and just put in 4 random digits.. i figure what can they do with that? That was months ago and never heard anything about it.

did you do last 4 when setting up? or last 4 for extended verification? i tend to agree that 4 digits isnt going give them any piece of mind about any alias

I used random last 4 digits and everything is fine. Ive been selling 3500-5000 a month.

Did you convert to a biz acct before getting limited for not providing tax ID, or after? If after, how did you get around the fact that you can't upgrade to a biz acct after being limited?

I was limited before upgrading, I was unable to upgrade on my own because it said I was limited, I called and explained to them that my accountant suggested I use my EIN and business info then I was able to input the info.

I'm in the same boat. Can't upgrade because limited due to not providing tax ID info. When you called did they insist you provide a SSN or were they ok with you just giving them an EIN? Thanks.
