Paypal Under Review and 21 Day Hold still safe to use?
 

I was doing sales on my stealth business account, it's about 6 months and I have been doing some transactions. Today I received a payment for $450 via Credit Card payment and when I checked the payment it says it under review. The payment is on hold and I have nothing to do. The only way I can confirm is by phone verification but I don't own a cell phone and the phone number is registered on a number I don't have. I bought an account and they just put the phone number there.

Is the account still safe to use because of this? I never had this problem before, all my payments went through successfully except for this one.

Or do I have to make another account?

If the payment is under review and on 21 day hold, would the other payments I receive through my stealth paypal go under review as well or just that one transaction? Am I still able to receive payments without any problems?

Nobody can ever predict exactly what PayPal will do on a specific account. We do not know its history, etc.

I would imagine that you WILL get the money after the 21 day hold has expired. But I would be hesitant to accept any more payments - especially large ones - on this account until you get the money that is already sitting in the account.

It is always best NOT to leave too much money sitting in a PayPal account, ESPECIALLY a STEALTH PayPal account for which you do not have access to the original phone number that was used to make the account.

If something is being reviewed, I personally stop any activity in the account, just to minimize possible losses. Especially, if there is a 21 day hold, and it is not possible to remove all moneys before they complete their review.

Regarding your case - stop all activity, before they review the current pending transaction, as further payments can lead to a temporary account limitation (they may do it to prevent "suspicious activity").

When you receive money and it goes into 21 day payment hold, it usually says HELD on the transaction, but the last few months it has changed wording to UNDER REVIEW.

The email you receive from paypal should explain if the payment is for the 21 day payment hold, or if the payment is being reviewed for 24-48 hours, as buyers who send payments that are usually out of there spending patterns do get payments that go under review for 24-48 hours. That is when you shouldnt send the item.

But if you have 21 day payment hold review, just add a tracking number to the order and the 21 days will get reduced.

You should also try asking the person who sold you the account for the sim card so you have the phone number on hand.

Could be a 21 day hold based on the source of payment - upload the tracking or speak to the buyer to be sure (no risk).

If you have been working with the account for 6 months, I wouldn't worry right away based on 1 transaction
