Limited Account - Forgot D.O.B
 

I made a stealth Paypal account and lost the txt document that contained the D.O.B for this account. I use this particular account for little things but over time have now hit the receiving limit. So I need to verify the account with ID and a utility bill.

I am usually very organised and rarely make mistakes like this and it is the only Paypal I have had this issue with.

I have all of the verification documents ready, should I submit them and hope that I can just say that I must have made a mistake when signing up to Paypal?

Surely the documents should suffice as proof of D.O.B etc? Should I expect a phone call or an email asking for an explanation?

I fear they may just put a 180 day lock on the account which is cool as it was my mistake, I just wanted to use the funds in there to pay my seller fees etc.

Have a look at the DOB on tihe email account you created at the same time. Chances are they are the same DOB

Yeah, these situations are tough. I always keep a PDF for each account that contains all of the relevant information, One copy is on my hard drive, I have a backup copy on my USB drive and a PRINTED COPY in a manila folder. Why? Because this has happened to me before and I swore it would never happen again.

@jeffweico I actually have a similar based system which works fine, it was just this one account that I messed up on

Just a quick update and it is good news! I did submit the documents which had the incorrect D.O.B and I received an email thank me for complying with their request and removing the limitation on my paypal account. Successfully completed a withdrawal as well, but I am not daft, I half expect the account to go down randomly when they decide to do their random checks or whatever other voodoo they decide. I wouldn't use my case as a steadfast rule as I may have gotten lucky and it is obviously way better to make sure all your ducks are in a line and you remember to document the D.O.B correctly, but if you are ever in a sticky situation like mine, just risk it as I already had the account limited anyway, the worst they could do was 180 day hold which would have applied anyway had I not decided to summit the identity documents. In the short term the limitation has been lifted, ebay selling limits raised and withdrawals are successfully going through. Lesson learnt for the future though.
