Interesting thing about 180 days hold on PayPal, interest %
 

Hello guys, my PayPal account got limited 180 days ago, so yesterday finally I got a message to withdraw money. I was surprised. They gave me +400$ On interest %. When my account was limited I had exactly 4.500$ but when I login after 6 month I got 4.900$ I checked the activity and history, there wasn't any new activity, just got 400$ from PayPal, as a % interest on holding my money? Same on my other account, but I got little less % $ Thats interesting for me, because I heard from many people here, saying PayPal earn interest % on limited funds. Do they ever give you your percentage % of interest? Or only I got them?

never heard of this..

Did your paypal account history say anything about the +$400?
You can search up to 12 months to check this.

I think you may of had something happen in between the 180 days.

Trust me it wasnt "interest". They wouldn't hand you $400 just to do it. If this was in fact the case it would be a HUGE policy in acted and would be all over the web and on this forum BEFORE they actually started implementing it.

PayPal is NOT a bank so they would be zero reason for the to include interest on the 180 day holds. We also AGREE to their terms and it bluntly states they can hold out funds at anytime and in nowhere in the terms does it state "we will reimburse you interest on your funds held during the 180 days"

There's a lot of possibilities but "interest" is just out of the question..

Maybe, that was some kind of refund? Check transaction details.

Withdraw then ask PayPal and update us!

PP doesn't have an interest policy - I am willing to bet that the $400 was just never accounted for on your part - /shrug anyhow sounds like a bonus to you so enjoy it well.

The account is toast so call everyday if you want or ten times a day. Learn as much as you can :)

I have to say iagree with rsot..

and would only call after you have withdrawn tbe money in case the withold if from you until you provide acceptable id.

Hell hasnt frozen over quite yet - no way thats interest money.
And I agree with some of the people above - pull the funds out and only then call to find out what happened when you got nothing to lose anyway.

Would you withdraw the full 4,900 in one go or would you take it out in bits? From a limited 180 paypal

what an idiot, its not interest its simply funds that were previously not available because of the 21 day hold or money pending from open cases and returns
