I need help. I'm unable to send money to people. When I try to send money to someone, it gives me this error saying

Some additional authorization is needed to complete this payment.

I tried looking this up seeing what the answer might be but nothing shows up.

Please help! I need to send money!

they sent you no info?

maybe just wait a few weeks and try again, sometimes the message clears.

or try send less?

you could call them but risky, how much is in the account? alot?

This is on a paypal account? never heard of that sort of error before.

Same issue, interested if anyone has come up with a fix yet?

Can use "Pay with PayPal" and "donate" buttons to spend all the money, as well as withdraw to bank, but trying to send money ALWAYS results in the error "Some additional authorization is needed to complete this payment."

Sounds strange indeed, maybe its the pre-tis the season ppF'ups.. we are pre 4months .
Maybe they are beta-testing how ebay can make less money than last year LMAO
interested to see what kind of storm this is ?

It's been happening for weeks.

I have confirmed/linked phone + bank already and no change. It is fully verified and no signs of being limited. First time it's ever happened to me though :\

EDIT: To be clear, it happened from the very first day the account was created

It sometimes happens on new accounts; the solution in this case is to wait out for some time OR give them a call. I would go with 2nd option as this is glitch related.

Seeing this issue too. This must be something new there doing. Not sure what though or glitch?

Ran into further hassles today with my account not being able to pay invoices or donation links ("We can't process your payment right now, so please try again later. We're sorry for the inconvenience." and "Sorry — your last action could not be completed")

But switched IPs and browsers back to Edge (all cookies cleared) and finally got an automated phone call to go through to my Google Voice number. I punched in the numbers and verification succeeded, and NOW I CAN ACTUALLY SEND MONEY VIA "SEND MONEY" LINK and don't need to rely on sites having a pay with PayPal button.

Use phone verification (automated call) and all should be resolved. This problem had affected me for over a month. So happy to have it fixed

I had a transaction like this a week or so before them limited then closed my account. Have you violated the acceptable use policy? Before you say no, it is very broad. It is easier to accidentally violate it than most people think and they never tell a person what they did that violated it. SMH

This happened before, I contacted them and they sent me a link to upload information, identification document (ID and SSN). Call them and they will solve it quickly.:typing::typing::typing:

When this happens you have 2 most common options:
1.- call paypal and ask for help, sometimes bugs in the process, and with a reboot on your side it will work again.
2.- wait a while, maybe a week, without trying to send money and it may work.
For the first case you may have to add SSN or driver's license.
