Buyer opened dispute

A buyer opened a return as defective on ebay which I accepted but he never returned the item.So I called ebay and they closed the return.
Then after a week this same buyer opened a case for the same item on paypal.
...I didn't know now a buyer can file twice for a single item both on ebay and then on paypal.
this seems so wrong.

Since the split they have been able to do that. Very annoying isnt it!

Yeah. And I'm just wondering when eBay will start advertising the "DOUBLE YOUR MONEY BACK" guarantee.

I know your joking, but I hope eBay don't see this....

I can only imagine a light bulb going off in someone's head somewhere

don't forget they can open a dispute with their credit card company!

so that's 3 disputes all together!

And after that all, they can buy it again from another account and scam you again.

Yep. It is not allowed as per EB / PP rules, but technically is possible.

Re: Buyer opened dispute

Rules changed a few weeks ago so it is now allowed.

Re: Buyer opened dispute

the 1 or 2 times that i truly needed to open a case twice i found i was unable to do so with paypal. always got a message saying that ebay had already closed a case for the transaction.

in the past three months ive actually had it happen three times where i didnt get what i paid for. 1&2 were 2 seperate transactions for $50 of gold that never arrived even though i had about 20 other items that did arrive. and 3 was a nes i bought that never showed up.

Sadly since the EB/PP split a buyer can screw you over twice.

Same thing happened to me sucks

Re: Buyer opened dispute

Well, all you need to state is that the item was never returned as in both cases Paypal will ask for the tracking number.

It's happen to me twice. Ebay double adjustment refund $250 which I sold $125 and then too much money I got -$ from my bank because F@%* PayPal doing automatic Echeck thing,I got bounce etc. I got over it and now I got another payment from a friend sent the money to me through invoice and refund her but guess what suddenly another -$150 in my bank then bounce and pending money.everything is messed up from PayPal and eBay separation.

They can but it wouldnt go through twice unless you (the buyer) let it It would have to be timed so perfectly where the reversals both went through within an hour of each other. Paypal reversal and Charge back. In essance, the charge back from the credit card company goes to paypal. So if paypal already issued a refund, it would show up.
