Pending Funds / Tax Info Request
 

Hi. I got a message from Paypal 3 days ago about giving my tax info. When I logged in, it said to add it to avoid any limitations. But, today, the wording changed a bit:

"We've asked you before to provide your tax ID number due to new IRS rules, but we haven't heard from you. Until you provide your tax ID number, you will be unable to close your account.

Please provide this information today in order to remove the limitation on your account.

You can find more information about the new tax rules and why we're asking for this information at www.paypal.com/irs."

Anyway, from reading on here, I was under the impression I would still be able to get the money I have in there, just not receive any more, but I noticed funds that are pending from eBay sales that would normally have been released around 6pm EST today are still pending.

Anyone have any experience if you can still get the pending funds?

Welcome to the forums - pending funds is normal but I would make sure the buyer is verified - also check out his/her feedback

Hi, thanks. They were eventually released at an odd time. The first time that happened. However, the one that didn't get released still wasn't for whatever reason. I was just worried it had something to do with the tax ID request, but it didn't.

Just a followup. I started selling on another account in the meantime, but decided to leave the one with the 2nd tax ID request going too. What dollar amounts were you guys able to get to after the 2nd request before they limited you from receiving money? I'm currently at about $5,300.

Question is really up in the air - that's quite a chunk of money to be left there - start withdrawing 200-300 daily?

I THINK hes saying he went above the 20g limit by 5300 NOT that he has 5300 currently sitting in his acct... or I could be dead wrong...:s

I mean that's how much I had come through Paypal. None of it is in there. I was just wondering how far others were able to go before being limited from receiving.
