Advice/Opinions required...

I have an eBay account (9 years old) linked to a PayPal account (3 months old).

I've been selling the same product for about 2 weeks and my PayPal 21 day hold still remains.

There is currently over £4,000 pending in this PayPal account (pending).

I've invested a lot of money and time into this account and would like to get my hands on the money sooner rather than later (in sure you'll all appreciate that).

When the hold slowly starts to become available, is it a good idea to be withdrawing the £300 per day? I read somewhere £150 is advised on a new account.

I don't want to raise any flags on my account.

Perhaps it's a good idea to stop selling on the stealth eBay until my funds become available - or will this also raise a flag with PayPal?

Hope I've been clear enough and any opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Start small - £150 daily for the first week sounds good and then maybe go up to £250. As long as you're getting the good feedback on eBay and no issues on PayPal then you should be set.

Keep the amount you withdraw daily low builds trust with PayPal. I must say I would of stopped selling at around that mark, if you continue to sell and get to say £6000 and they limit the PayPal, you'll be in a hell of a mess. I would prefer to spread those 4K sales over 4 accounts but that's my personal opinion.

I shall stop the selling later today.

When I eventually get to a level where I have £2000 remaining, do you think I'll be safe to withdraw all at once?

Why is the paypal account only 3 months old?

Was there another paypal that went done?

Yeah but this was a long time ago. I appreciate that newly associated PayPal accounts don't last too long...hence my query.

As GB said eventually you will have issues - can last a while but having that amount of money in an account you've attached to an eBay with an already dead PayPal isn't wise and is not advised

Play poker a lot or Russian Roulette?

:faint:

Would have been more favourable for you long term if you asked for advice £3900 ago.
Your account faces being asked for ID at any moment. Start getting prepared.
Hope for the best.
Prepare for the worst

I've took off my listings. PayPal should be releasing funds day by day as if the 8th of November.

As a start, might want to consider 100 quids. withdrawal every few days and slowly go from there. Don't take the whole amount in one shot

I have 99% feedback at the moment. Refunding about 1 out of 50 per day (direct from PayPal).

What do you think?

Re: Advice/Opinions required...

My personal preference on a new paypal is no more than £150 a time, or £250-ish in several smaller withdrawals per day...i.e 90's 60's 80's as I think I posted somewhere the other day.

You really shouldn't try and rush things. The best chance you have of getting that 4k out is a bit a day over the next 6 weeks.

Had this today...

1 Nov 2015: It's been a little while since you used your account. For reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal Service we need some more information about you and your account

(Your case ID for this reason is PP-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-)

Any advice?

Does it say you cannot appeal?

Any steps in the resolution centre?

What do you need advice on exactly???

You've been limited. Unless it is a permanent limitation there are steps to complete if you are wanting to try and restore it. Submit the information they are requesting and then wait for the outcome of the review.

But it was bought on here as Limits Lifted???

They haven't specified what I must do other than wait 60 days from the first transaction?

So? A "limit lifted" account is not immune from limitations.

Once again, what steps, if any, are they asking you to complete?

Eh?? That isn't a step to complete to resolve any limitation. That's to do with 21 day holds.

Re: Advice/Opinions required...

Nothing other than the two necessary....

1) Sell Over 10 products without a complaint (TICK)
2) Wait 60 days since the first transaction (14/60 so far).

Limits may be removed AND added back at any time in the life of an account.

Are we still talking about the new paypal you attached to the older ebay?

Same paypal that has a large balance?

These are the steps to remove 21 day holds from received funds and has nothing to do with this:

When you log into the account does it say:

"The limitation cannot be appealed against"???

If it does then the account is toast.

username1 11-03-2015 06:29 AM

Re: Advice/Opinions required...

Yes it does say this but I've not had an email saying 180 days...??

Ebayorbust 11-03-2015 06:32 AM

Re: Advice/Opinions required...

Doesn't matter. The account is toast.

The 3 month old Paypal will have been linked to the Paypal account that was originally attached to the Ebay account.

The £4000 locked in there may or may not get released after 180 days. Only time will tell.
