i made a $500 payment on my account and 20 minutes later im limited because they believe the payment was made by someone other than account holder.

seller is unable to refund me and im stressing alot.

so my question is how do i prevent this happening a second time? really aggravating.

Why do you want a refund if the payment went through? You did make the payment correct, and the payment was sent and than the account was limited

Sounds like they money is frozen on their side too.

Which is why you would need the refund?

Also, an account made yesterday for sending 500 is too young/too fast

Difficult to prevent if it's because of the seller. Establish your account with more activity before making purchases over 150-200$
