Hello Guys,

This is a very new thing happening now. If you account is limited and after 180 days u got the email that u can withdraw money. So u try to add a brand new bank account and u got this message.

"Sorry, we’re unable to link that bank because it is disabled. Please try another bank"

They say it is a new limitation this year that u need to submit your ID and proof of bank account/proof of credit card statements before they can released the money to u.

Anyone having the same issue? please advise, thanks

It's a brand new bank opened recently fully activated with deposit and everything?

it is not the bank issue ,it is the new limitation by PayPal.

I already called to paypal and they asking for documents and tell me it is the new limitation this year, no matter what bank account u added, this message appears

no, ASIA paypal. I am not sure if USA Paypal has this issue for now but it might be having soon

I just withdrew from 2 180 day hold paypals a couple weeks ago with no problems, there must be something else you're not telling us.

this MSG means that this bank account has been used on anther PP account and it has been been deleted when you try to add it again on the (same/anther PP account) you get this MSG.

what is the bank name? where did you get it from?

i repeated 1 more time , any banks accounts is not allowed to add into that paypal account .. nothing to do with the bank account info

U try this now, ur old paypal account that has withdrawal already.. inside is $0 balance, u try to add any random bank account and check if u have that message or not

paypal does not know your bank account number is real or not

this MSG has one meaning only....i told you about it.

did u try on the paypal account that has limitation more than 180 days and asking u to withdraw money ?

if the paypal account is limited less than 180 days, the bank account can added in.. once hit the message asking u to withdraw, it disabled the features to add bank account

but this applies to all the limited paypal account after 180 days

limited before 180 days = able to add any bank account
limited after 180 days = unable to add any bank account, need to call in and submit documents

Was there ever a bank account on that paypal before it got limited? If not, why do you think paypal will allow any bank account to get added?

Think about the problems there. Of course they need proof.

Paypal do not detect bank account number, they only check duplicated entries but they do not check if the account number is valid or not with the bank, only check valid bank code.. this is not silly, this is u dont know only

This might be an issue with the bank itself - as in the bank itself is blacklisted by paypal.
I know of several bank that are blacklisted (such as Gmac and Capital360).
What bank are you trying to use?

The issue lies with ASIA paypal account

try to call in again, they say they are having technical difficulty with conputer system now , they have problem accessing customer accounts now and told to speak to customer services or hang up the phone

its not USA bank, its ASIA bank, all banks cannot add

GreenBean can you please drop that arrogant attitude already? He's actually correct on this one, Paypal themselves does not know if your bank account number is valid or not. Only the bank does.

Anyways, the message OP got can only indicate a few scenarios
1) The bank account OP is trying to add was already added before (which he claimed to be false)

2) The bank by its entirety has been blacklisted (which is not too likely)

3) There are some kind of flags on the OP's account preventing him from adding the bank (most likely)

IMO op, try and let your account cool down for a few days, and try calling them again. A better rep might give you some better insights on your account.

I called in again and spoke to the operator, he just enabled my account to have access to link bank account and the bank account is added successfully.

The call is very rush, he never ask much things and enable add bank account for me

he seems like he knows why i am calling and the calls i waited for very long

seems like many other people called in too reported the same issue

Paypal has fixed the bug, no more such issue anymore ..

All accounts is allowed to link any bank and can withdraw successfully..

I got the bank account disabled message today on my UK pp.

I think /hope its a glitch, I will try tomorrow.

paypal disabled the fuction of adding bank account ,I have many accounts unable to add bank account .

Have the same problem on 5 accounts. After i called Paypal and add Bank it was delete by paypal. Paypal send me an email taht something with my bank is wrong. But called the bank and everything is allright with the bank.

Next thing is i have more than 5k on my paypal and they want ID and **** like this. It more than 180 days.

I have 5k on different Paypals. Its in Poland in Europe. What i can do.

After calling them i could add a bank, but it was delete again. Paypal said the bank that the bank informet them that there is something with my bank. That impossible after 10 min. I called the bank and it everythin fine.

What i can do`?? Its an ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Account

Hi, I am a fellow Malaysian as well and new to the forum. Are you using stealth account for Malaysia ebay and Malaysia paypal?
