5 Paypals all limited
 

Last sept I had a paypal account that was in (my name variation)limited for high number of refunds for purchases I made that were either defective or never shipped.
Yesterday I requested a pp master debit card for my SS verified legit account in my actual name, but 12hrs later all I got was a limitation BAM.alongwith limitations to all my family members PP accounts.

What can I do as I am totally numb and confused. All these limited accounts were SS verified legit.
I tried calling for my account in my name but was told it was non appeal.
please help..... so depressed

Go to paypal twitter or Facebook. Send messages there. The execs work there. Worth a shot.

...what do you mean with "never shipped"?

You actually sold something and did not ship it? :shocked:

I read it that he had been making lots of INR claims and SNAD claims and this is why he was limited.

yes I purchased items and believe it or not HALF of them were never shipped by the darrn sellers and so many were not as described. these cases that I had filed were totally out of my control.
Anyway.....
They banned all my legit seller PP for linkage to a buyer account that got limited.
I am shocked... All 5 SS verified went down today ....

That sounds like real bad luck. Normally when a buyer opens so many cases in such a short space of time, it indicates they are scamming and the Paypal bots do the rest.

It feels so unfair to kill all my legit accounts over a buyer account limitation.
I tried phoning and those brutal animals on the phone are just saying NO!

Did you use same or similar information across all 5 accounts?

One rep said I had similar emails and the last name obviously was the family name.They were old legit SS verified accounts and were made under the same address.
But the idea of taking all the lgit SS accounts down for having link to a buyer PP account (non SS and name variant) is so so upsetting.
Also I never knew that PP had non appeal limitations for buying refunds.

If theyre all accounts belonging to family members it stands to reason there would be elements linking them such as address, last name, IP address used, Device used etc.
Not surprising they all got linked and taken down at the same time.
Sounds like they suspected you of attempting fraud because of the large number of disputes you opened. Whether or not these are legit is of little interest to the, - theyre only after reducing their exposure to financial risk and if they view you as such they'll kick you off.
You can try calling in about it but dont hold your breath. These accounts are most likely unsalvageable.

Were you having items shipped from china? That might explain why they haven't arrived. I find it hard to believe that off all the purchases you made, HALF of them were never sent. You would think if that was the case, they would have noticed that seller getting a lot of complaints and banning them not you. I believe you are not telling us something.

Kinda new here been reading for months now but,, would be nice to hear the "oh, I forgot to tell you this happened as well"? Curious.

I meant to say earlier, Half of the disputes that were filed were for INR. these were all ebay purchases.
I tried calling in sept for the buyer PP that was initially limited but they said no.
Back then I thought nothing of that limited buyer account in my name variation.... until yesterday I called to renew my expired PaypalMaster card for my business legit Paypal and they somehow linked the two from that.
I never purchased anything from my main business PP only its getting limited due to the link to that buyer PP.
Any idea what I could even say...

If half of your purchases don't turn up, didnt you ever think maybe buying online isn't for you?

I think paypals done you a favour, think of all the money and time you will save.

I said half of the 'disputes' not half of my transactions.
I had 1000 buying transactions and only 40 disputes over a full yrs period.
Out of the 40 there were like 20 INR.
I honestly wouldn't classify only 40 of 1000 as abusing buyer protection.

Usually I find posted items not arriving rates are around 1%, 1.5% at a push.

If your hitting 2% then that is higher than average, added to that the 2% SNAD cases and you are running at 4% in total which is pretty high.

In the future it may be an idea to message sellers without opening a case to let them know there is an issue. That will prevent you getting too many cases and helps the sellers avoid too many cases as well
