Same name but different address on paypal
 

hello all.
I have a question.
If i open a new paypal using my own name but with different address on it.I login
account in different ips,machines.
Will this paypal link to my own paypal ?
As we know,there are many people who have the same name.
For example,2 people named John jackson,one in New York,the other one in Miami.
Note:PP does not require SSN in our country.

The reason why i ask is that PP and bank in our country only allow us to transfer money to the bank account which has the same name on PP,unlike US PP or banks.

try it. new account nothing to lose.

they do link anything and everything. not just by name. chances are they will link by something else and confirm same name and ban.

You could try a variation of your name. make sure everything else is different.

If I set up a new PP account on a different IP and everything and then access it with my old IP where my previous account was blocked will they recgonise this and block my new account? thanks

You want to avoid making it easy for them to link you

Log into your new PayPal with your old IP will do that

Chances are it wont block you right away, but just not worth the risk

I have a few Stealth accounts in my real name created with different ip, date of birth, address, phone number, bank, vcc, windows desktop and everything is fine with me.

I usually use the same last name but a bit of variation in the first name. Never had any trouble with that.

Visa from US right? Only zip code when you register the visa on its website

I suspect they don't link by name alone. I'm sure there are a ton of people with the same names using PayPal, and with that logic they would all be linked.

Here are the top 10 most common name combinations and the number of individuals with that combo, according to last year's study (in the USA)

James Smith: 38,313.
Michael Smith: 34,810.
Robert Smith: 34,269.
Maria Garcia: 32,092.
David Smith: 31,294.
Maria Rodriguez: 30,507.
Mary Smith: 28,692.
Maria Hernandez: 27,836.

So, would all the people with the name of "James Smith" be linked if they all had an account with PayPal? I seriously doubt it, so as long as ALL the other data was unique.

Since you are in China and probably have a chinese name I'd just mess with the transliteration to English a bit.
