Hi,
While back I asked just when in the new year the limitation on receiving payments would be lifted because I never provided SSN/EIN.
The answer jived with my distant memory......it happened in th last day or two for 2 limited accounts.
Little background is that I let 2 of my many accounts ride through the first warning (about 150 transactions, $ is way under $20K), ride through the second reminder (around 190 transactions, and until the account was not allowed to receive payments.
Fine, no problem.....I needed to slow down when holiday traffic went through the roof.
Now I have relisted things on those accounts a few days ago and started receiving orders again. I checked in on one pp account and get a screen that congratulated me on doing what I needed to to get lift restrictions. What I needed to do was just twiddle my thumbs until the slate was cleared for 2016.
I heard answers ranging from "Never" to "when taxz forms are mailed around Feb 1"
For my few accounts, then answer was Jan 15th.
So the bottom line is that if you are not allwed to receive payments becasue you have not provided SSN, wait until mid January. |
