Paypal Limited - can I change the bank account?
 

Hi,
I have 3 Limited Paypal accounts with money on them.
I know that after a period of 180 days that I`m not providing them with the necessary documents they will release the funds.
Now, these account are stealth and I opened for them 3 bank accounts that I`m paying monthly fee for each one of them and they have no other purpose other that being connected to the stealth PayPal accounts.
So the question is:
Can I link a new bank account to a limited paypal account when the time comes to withdrawal the money?
I want to close my current 3 bank accounts and when the time comes (after the 180 days) to link new bank accounts.

You should be able to change the bank account after the limitation goes away, but why would you want to burn 3 good bank accounts on limited paypals? Can't you just withdraw to the 3 bank accounts you already have attached, after 180 days?

I`m paying fees for these accounts for nothing for 6 months x 3.

Oh, so you're wanting to close the bank accounts so you aren't paying the bank's fees during your limitations?

If that's the case, you would probably be better off leaving the banks attached to paypal. It would be fine for you to go to the bank and close the accounts, but leave them attached to your paypal until you can attach a new bank account. Looks bad to have no bank attached.

Just be careful, because a lot of users have reported problems while trying to add a bank account to a previously limited paypal.

please note even after 180 days you will still need to provide photo id and address id, especially it seems if funds is above £70

in answer, yes you can add another bank

you wont be able to remove banks though on a limited acount

I believe it's for UK paypal . What about rest of Europe or US ?

It always worked for me. The website would not always cooperate but customer service always helped me until it worked.

One time they even transfered all my funds to the account of a friend
