paypal sent letter to my ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address
 

after 5 months of good transactions and great standing. paypal limited my account.

I was asked to confirm location. I registered one more card and put it in. paypal called in giving the 4 digit number. I added this number and submitted. Paypal told me that my info did not match, they would send a letter to my registered address which is new.

I immediately went to canada post website, paid bucks to ask it to forward the mail to my real address. I believed that was enough. after a couple days, a lady from the post office called me, telling me that they could not forward those mails to me because my new address was a business address(I used a restaurant as my registered address).

by now, I have not got any forwarded mails. it has been more than 2 weeks

anyone has similar experience? how did you deal with it?

This is the number one reason why you shouldn't pick an address out of a phone book. Could come back to bite you in the butt. Use a friends or family address or a po box.
The only advice I can give you is call tell them tht the address listed on you paypal account was a store/shop/restuarant/business space that you rented out. Because of the economy the rent went up and you had to leave your lease and move your business. Ask if you can give them your home or new business address to them so you get the letter.
It could't hurt I don't know if it will help.

I believe the tough talk I gave to that lady at Canada post works. On that day, after she told me that they would send back any letters, I reminded her that I paid bucks for the service. That might be the turning point.

Public employees don't want to get into trouble. If you have legitimate warning to them, they will cooperate.

I am lucky, I should not have used address from phone book. better choose a private personal address .

Pleased that got sorted. As a rule I alway make sure I have access to the postal address I
use. Makes life easier.
