Is this possible???
 

I received an email from an eBay customer saying that I was selling a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ knife and that he had contacted PayPal and that I would be suspended soon. A few hours later my PayPal account has been permanently limited. Is it just coincidence or can a customer which DID NOT EVEN BUY ANYTHING FROM ME get my PayPal limited?

is that a f ake knife or some other 4 letter knife? it is blanked out...

that is harsh, usually you get an ebay warning for knives....thats all first time...
it has nothing to do with paypal unless it gets sold...was it sold?

Yes a f ake knife. My eBay account is fine its PayPal that limited me.

No it was not sold to the customer that sent me the threatening email... but sold about a dozen to other customers which knew it was f ake or r eplica...all of which left positive feedback.

knives are not allowed at all though regardless, except for a few certain types........suppose f ake is an extra issue on top...was it a knife that is allowed on their guidelines or not? I know ebay at least take the knife thing seriously.

Anyway, can paypal limit you if you sold, and if it is just a report from a non-buyer - yes, in theory.......knives are no ordinary product....

Yeah I have been selling Gerber, Buck, Boker, Spyderco etc...for over a year now... most are legit but Izula knife I think got me in trouble... those guys have minions everywhere.:mad:

Not so much the case in the USA as long as you are not advertising international.

Hmmm, I just started to offer international shipping on my eBay... wonder if that did it... and why would they not warn me first? Bit harsh.

It is the Knife itself that got you suspended.... Then the addition of fo-fo just made it too much risk....

You are only suspended or Banned>? What are they asking to lift suspension?

Permanently limited...i have not been told what I Need to provide... if they ask for invoices I dont have it... so I'm screwed either way...o well stealth I go

they have warned you already in their T&C, selling knives in some countries is similar as selling cocain in your country, I think you should stop selling international or to contact them when you want to sell a new product, they will tell you if you can or not
