Can they limit you because of many claims? Or because they dislike your items?

Hello everyone,

So, I have this problem. My Paypal accounts are continuously getting limited, one after another. I am sure I am not linking them, all info separate, separate browsers, VPNs with different IPs.

I would like to know the causes of my limitations, but can't find any clues.

I had some claims on those accounts, maybe 4-5 every 15 days, and I sold questionable items (virtual items disguised as physical, i.e., virtual games sold as physical games).

I was wondering, might the suspensions be due to one of these reasons?

Thank you for any tips / suggestions.

If your getting 4-5 claims every 15 days and you sell like 30 items that's too many claims for paypal and they don't like that. You need to check what your selling and get proper delivery confirmation or accept another visa/mastercard credit card provider because paypal will soon limit your account unless you show them documents of what you sell is legit. You might need to work with a high risk credit card processor. Paypal is not a high risk taker. Max is medium risk and 10 claims a month is too much if your selling 30 items a month, but if you were selling 10,000 items and 10 claims you would probably be fine as long as you take care of those claims quickly.

Your account will soon be limited if not right now, I had an account which had 2 claims on it and I didn't respond for a week because I didn't have internet access correctly and a week later I get limited, so it probably popped up in there system to check my account. Don't keep claims open for long.

Thanks mate, yeah that's what I though, and if they ask documents basically you are already lost since they approve / deny the "appeal", how they like to call it, at their own discretion.

This is the 7th account I think that I got limited, and I'm ditching Paypal definitely now. I really hope one day they have one of those hacker attacks or something similar that will make them lose all the money they took from us. The fact that they closed my new accounts despite me verifying them and providing with documents made me really upset.

They can limit you whenever they want.

Limitations can come at any time and for any reason.
In your case you pretty much know the reason and stated it - questionable items AND plenty of claims (probably due to those questionable items).
No big mystery there.

Both or either will do just fine in getting your account banned...

I haven't had more then 10 claims in 7 years...

Its not paypal that is the problem, it is your business model....

Find a new product, something clean and legit and you will have a happier, healthier and wealthier life.... Sending you good vibes!

Like everyone says, avoid selling items you're disguising as something its not, Very easy to file a item not as described claim when you're selling virtual games as a physical game, They can say they never got anything in the mail and you have no tracking number so they'll win every time. Find something legit to sell

I think because or some not delivered packages and may be one member hit me from behind I got 1 limitation and asked for supplier or invoices and today came permanent limitation email. I sold many VERO brand items and sent them a store receipt which i found in the net. Now i got permanently limited. I do not have too much in it 573$ but what will happen if I change pp to my other pp?
Will they also limit the other paypal? Will something chance if l wait 180 days or not? Any help please. I will really appreciate that so much. My account has 500/30000$ and l am top rated seller. eBay account is OK. I have 2 more eBay and PP account.
If i make new PP, do i have to add credit card to transfer the money to my another PP account as family & friends payment? Thanks a lot. Really appreciated.
