| sammywantsya | 02-25-2009 08:25 PM | paypal took my money As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the
PayPal system. While going over your account, it has come to our
attention you have another PayPal account with the email address:
@gmail.com. This other account was negative $391.36. Because there was
indisputable evidence the other account and this account were owned by
the same person, we have moved the $391.36 from your @gmail.com to
resolve the balance on the other account.
The remaining balance will be held for 180 days from date your account
was originally limited.
so what does this mean ? when i checked my paypal almost my whole money is gone. i just cant belive they took it. this is rubbish
and now i have 8.64 bucks on my account
will i be able to get my account back after 180 days?
it really frustrates me because that money i got was from a freebie site from iphone trainn. it really annoys me |
| GreenBean | 02-25-2009 08:47 PM | It means you REALLY REALLY annoyed paypal. Because one account came under their screening they checked everything and found that other account so transferred monies to
restore the negative balance. They win, you do not win. The money will be returned in 180
days,yes.
Would suggest you go over any other accounts you might have with paypal and check there is no way to link them. Sorry that happended |
| sammywantsya | 02-25-2009 10:47 PM | i didn't mean to annoy them. this happens to some of us. so in that case will i get my 391 bucks back? |
| aspkin | 02-25-2009 10:54 PM | WOAH!
PayPal is getting even... LOL...
This is the first time I've heard of PayPal doing this... congrats!
They took your money and slapped you... really..
Sorry... PayPal is getting bold... and no your money is gone. |
| sammywantsya | 02-25-2009 10:56 PM | MY MONEY AND ITS GONE SCREW PAYPAL
i've worked so hard to get that too
but will i be able to get my account back? |
| aspkin | 02-25-2009 11:01 PM | Most likely not.. they linked you and usually when that happens they want you to resolve the situation with your previous account first before they even consider lifting your new limitation. |
| sammywantsya | 02-25-2009 11:03 PM | so what should i do now? just leave it? |
| aspkin | 02-25-2009 11:04 PM | You have 8.64 bucks left in it... it's time to move on buddy. :) |
| sammywantsya | 02-25-2009 11:05 PM | but i want the rest of my money to put in my bank account is that possible? for 180 days? |
| JamesYaBaoy | 02-25-2009 11:08 PM | "Thats some O.G. sh*t right there"
I mean I dont blame PayPal.. BUT i figured they would do soemthing liek this.As far as I know no one here has never had a negative balance PayPal account and been linked
I wont say his name but an ex-member here did say in rare circumstances(such as money owed) PayPal WILL link..
Bottom Line: If you leave PayPal with a neg balance
1.)Dont come back
2.)New stealth account
3.)RePay the debt |
| sammywantsya | 02-25-2009 11:15 PM | screw paypal then ill just go to alertpay because i think alertpay is better
so that means i had paid everything from the negative balance. what a gyped
but i would like to get a new account ill guess i have to buy the stealth book. |

Sorry... PayPal is getting bold... and no your money is gone. | Has been done by both UK & Australia paypal to accounts of mine. OK, it was nearly two years ago but I know for sure it got done. The reason so simple the
paypal accounts had a LINK |
| sammywantsya | 02-25-2009 11:42 PM | can anyone answer my question? sorry to be upfront but i just need to know them.
hope you guys can help me out here. |
| GreenBean | 02-25-2009 11:44 PM | Which question? Money back or account restored? |
| sammywantsya | 02-25-2009 11:48 PM | both. sorry im just pissed thats all |
| GreenBean | 02-26-2009 12:00 AM | Doubt if the account will ever get the limitation removed. Monies held for 180 days are paid out when the period is finished. Can not give better news than that. |
| sammywantsya | 02-26-2009 12:04 AM | so i paid everything that i had in my negative balance? |
| GreenBean | 02-26-2009 12:07 AM | Correct. That account problem is resolved now. |
| sammywantsya | 02-26-2009 12:11 AM | ok good thanks |
| sammywantsya | 02-26-2009 12:15 AM | i will buy the stealth book soon |
| GreenBean | 02-26-2009 12:34 AM | OK. Tis a great read:hs: |
| oompaloompa | 02-26-2009 04:38 AM | about 2nd account they took from, did it have same or any similar details, name address , or was it an ip link that did it? |
| GreenBean | 02-26-2009 04:40 AM | ^^^ the OP said EMAIL was a common factor.:tears: |

Their "indisputable proof" would have to be rock solid for it to hold up in court. I mean almost everything between the 2 accounts would have to be the same. I am not doubting the underhanded Paypal would not try it, but that it would hold up in court. |

I know because i still get emails from people wanting to buy stuff from him using paypal. If he had it linked to his paypal account and then deleted it, if I used it again at paypal we would be "indisputably link" by their thinking. The case would be thrown out on those basis. |

i don't understand
and plus i got my left over money back into my bank account
my 180 days is over and now its transferring
see thats why paypal sucks
I'm sticking through alertpay all the way |
| aquariusvc | 03-08-2009 01:12 AM | paypal game is risk :)) but buyer love paypal some buyer only pay with paypal =.= |
| TMiles | 03-08-2009 08:19 AM | my head is spinning! |
| siashay | 03-08-2009 10:53 AM | My advice, Leave it alone and BUY THE STEALTH BOOK. I have had a couple of paypal accounts w/ money owed, that hasn't been linked.
If you file in court you have to file with your real name and your real name is attached to the paypal account that you owe money to. You can't file in court with a false name. Walk away, Buy the stealth book and you will be fine. |
| denied! | 03-09-2009 05:12 AM | Similiar case - Paypal reviewed my account - sent them loads of ID and invoice info - they lifted restrictions then slammed then down again - phoned them - got told that I had a previous account, they eventually gave me enough clues to track down the old account (6 years old!) this had a negative balance of £8 which I put right and asked for them to close the account. They said they wont close it for 6 months, and wont lift the restrictions on my newer working account as I have two accounts! So in other words they wont close the first account and wont let me use the second because I have two!! They also wont let me have £400 of my own money for 6 months - and because they aren't a bank TRading Standards say I cant do a thing! |
| sammywantsya | 03-09-2009 08:45 PM | well i have been paid and I'm not going to use paypal anymore so good bye paypal
really good bye =] |
| sammywantsya | 03-12-2009 07:02 PM | OK i don't think i need a stealth book for now
since i can withdrawal my money from my bank account
and i can receive payments
so what does that mean? |
| yaw1800 | 03-12-2009 08:40 PM | it means never leave any money in that paypal and start setting up another ebay/paypal account if you havent already done so |

i dont understand
plus I'm not going to use ebay anymore |
| yaw1800 | 03-13-2009 09:41 AM | i had read over the forum again to get a good understanding of what was going on,,
if you can withdraw and send payments, thats one of their lighter limitations... but what exactly are you trying to figure out??? |
| sammywantsya | 03-23-2009 07:58 PM | ok i just had seen my account today and it says i cant receive payments
when my account was limited its says i can receive my payments and now i can't receive my payments....
will i be able to still receive payments like i had before when its limited ? |
| sammywantsya | 03-23-2009 08:14 PM | why edit my post ? just a question i like to get an answer from you guys =/ |
In a nutshell, your questions have been answered. If you ever intend to use PayPal in the future to receive payments, forget about those 2 accounts you had, get the Ebay Stealth book or take your time to read posts on this forum and than follow instructions how to create new PayPal account that will last. But if you intend to stiff PayPal for money, just know that you will be blacklisted by them and PP will go out of their ways to link you and find you again! So, that's a No, NO!:nono:
On the other hand, if you don't plan to ever use Ebay to sell your stuff and don't need another PayPal account, IMO you don't really need the help of this forum.:violin::violin: |
