Got a Paypal Limited Email Today
 

I got a paypal limited email today for selling amazon fire sticks with Kodi. After i emailed them back and asked why they sent me this:

Dear Rudy ******,

Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concern regarding the limitation on your account.

We regret to inform you that we cannot overturn the limitation on your account. Due to the violation of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy, your account has been permanently limited.

We appreciate your cooperation and thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. If you have any further questions or need our support, please contact the PayPal Brand Risk Management Department at aup@paypal.com.

Is there anything I can do to at least find out why they limited my account?

They don't like the items your selling.

Wait 180 days and withdraw or use a service for faster withdraw.

Those items are going to be harder and harder to sell. Anything KODI seems to be death to new sellers accounts or new to that market.

My Paypal account was 10 years ago and the same with my ebay account. I opened both back in 2006. I can't believe they can just shut you down and take your money without any type of warning.

Hi guys!

I received an email from paypal today. Here's the email:

Your PayPal account has been limited because we've noticed recent changes in the way you are exiting funds from your PayPal account. As your payment processor, we need to better understand these changes and how they relate to your sales.

What does this mean?

This account limitation will affect your ability to:


send money
withdraw money

Additionally, you cannot:

remove any bank accounts
remove credit cards
close your account

When I logged in to my paypal account, they asked me to provide the following information:

- Confirm your bank account
- Photo ID
- Proof of Address (utility bills)
- Provide Invoices
- Update phone number

Obviously, I cant provide these information since my account is stealth. So does this mean I need to forget all the money I have in paypal and get another stealth ebay and paypal? Please help me!

That e-mail from pp ....were you sending money back and forth between pp accounts or...?

Kwatog07, It sounds like you have drastically increased your sale, listed in a new category or had much higher than usual payments come in.

You have to give paypal what they need or move on to another account.

If you call into paypal, odds are they will only need Photo ID and proof of address. This can be done with a passport or driver licence all in one.

If you are listing brand new brand name stuff, you will need invoices as well.

I am guessing the account is under 90 days old?

The account is more than 3 months and yes my sales has increased in the past 2 weeks. I cant provide any documents to them as this account is stealth. Oh man, I have $3k plus in that paypal account. More than half of my sales has already been shipped. I list 10-15 new items every week. I dropship by the way. Any suggestions?

So I need to forget about this account? This is a huge huge lost to me... $3k is my salary for a whole year and lost it in just a day (I'm from Phiilppines). Devastating!!!

Amazon banned the Kodi app because it might be used for infringement. They probably don't like the fact that you were selling the Amazon product with Kodi loaded onto it.

I like Kodi for my movie collection. It scans the hard drive, adds all of the thumbnails, synopsis, other information and even links all of your movies to trailers. It is a wonderful way to organize a collection.

There are addons such as 1channel, IceFilms and Exodus which make it very easy to watch any kind of movies you like. They have movies still in theaters and a great selection of probably 20,000 other movies. No ads, no downloads, no nonsense, just 2 clicks and you are watching your movie. THIS is what has created the problem. Kodi never asked for it, they do not endorse any of the pirated stuff, but they cannot stop it.

I would rather see some pirates having fun than to live in a copyright and trademark owner's police state. Movie studios actually had the balls to ask for computer manufacturers to build in the capability for them to review what is on your PC. I'm sorry, but NO, that is way too invasive. The problem isn't that they would catch the pirates, but that they could examine the systems of millions of innocent users. NO WAY!

Anyway, this is probably why Amazon banned you.
