Sorry noob question here, do i have to link my bank account into paypal to lift this limit?

No that wont remove the hold.

You need to actually sell on the account for 90 days have $250 sales.

Thats weird, i actually purchase this eBay acct from a friend. He didnt have that 21 days limit back then; it takes place after i created a brand new paypal account and linked to his eBay account. Hmmm.... Thanks i will take a look of that thread.

You will need to sell on the new Paypal account for 90 days to start receiving instant payments.

21 day holds are how PayPal protects themselves from fraud. If they did not have the 21 day holds, anybody could create a new account, sell a few hundred dollars (or a few thousand dollars) worth of items, cash out and never deliver. Then PayPal would be left holding the bag.

I have seen the 21 day holds removed BEFORE the 90 day period has expired, but that IS unusual. And the 21 day holds are not always 21 days. If PayPal can see that your item was delivered and the customer left you positive feedback, they often release the money early.

If you sell on ebay = 90days, if you sell outside of ebay = 60days.

You need put your SSN and the 21 days hold remove but don't put the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ one

The holds do get removed in time without an SSN being added.
