Call to submit EIN?
My PP account was limited in pursuit of tax info... I let too much time go by and PP will not let me accept payments at all right now, leaving a lot of finished auctions hanging... I have an EIN, but PP requires a call, since you cannot upgrade to a business account when said account is limited.
Will the phone method work? Will PP ask me for info that will compromise my stealth status? Should I set up a new PP as a business account and endure the holds? I just want to get up and running again ASAP so my completed auctions can be paid & shipped. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! |

You call in, paypal will insist on adding the last 4 of your SS, you tell them that your account will not allow that and he advised to ONLY add the last four of your EIN. They will press and eventually do it.
Make sure you have your details in front of you. Name, address, etc.... |

One more question! My phone number is linked to my previous, unusable account. Can I dial #67 prior to the PayPal number to block my number from appearing on their end when I call? |

Get a phone app or use any other non related phone. |

I made two calls.
1st call: I was transferred to the tax filing department. The women claimed a case number was sent to my email and that I would need to provide documentation to a case group... I said I would check my email and call back (turns out, I received no such email)
2nd call: I was transferred to a 2nd, much friendlier woman in the same tax filing department. She entered my EIN no questions asked and seemed as excited as I did when it worked so quickly and easily!
I believe the mafia term is “made.” ;) Thank you, yankee!!! |

I have the same problem. Paypal ask me to put in tax info. when i click on EIN option, it tell me that the account will be upgrade to business then it go to another page says the account is not able to upgrade to business account and gave me 2options, either create a new account or resolve the problem in resolution center, but i have nothing in the resolution center.
In this case, can i call them to put in EIN instead?Please advise. Thank you! |
