Paypal Asking SSN.

Hi Friends,
I was Doing Good on Ebay 3 Months.and Yesterday Paypal Start Asking my SSN.I Don't Have a SSN.But I Live in USA Even I can't Get Employee ID or Tax Id Because of My Visa Status.Please Help Me.How I'm Gonna Get Through This.
What are the Options I Have...?

why did they ask for SSN? Sold too much in short amount of time?
