PayPal remove 21 day hold?
 

Hi Everyone,

I have an ebay account that is about to hit the 90 day mark, only sold 1 item on it. Would PayPal remove the 21 day hold even if i had 1 sale on the ebay account and it is past 90 days?

No they will not.
The minimum requirements to remove those holds are 90 days from 1st sale, 25 successful transactions and $250 in total sales.
And those are the MINIMUM requirements - no guarantee the holds will be removed AND even if they are they can be placed back on for any reason at any time.

After the buyer gets the item wait 3 days and the money should automatically release if not just call paypal and they'll release it no need to wait 21 days

This has not been happening for me lately. I have had items deliver and funds still sit for 7 days after delivery. Not sure why this is happening now. It used to be 3 days after delivery.

is it after you hit all 3 that the 90 day starts?

or if i make:

10 sales - first month
10 sales - second month
5 sales - third month

will fourth month be good to go? or 90 day starts after 3 types are met?

It's 25 sales, $250 in sales starting the day you make your first sale, IF you hit these requirements BEFORE the 90 days it won't matter UNTIL the 90 days have been completed.

I do not understand this "250usd" mark. Its old info! It is not working any more and no, holds will not be removed after that. This is ebay info and after you hit this mark they will stop ask paypal to hold the money. BUT your money will be still on hold because now on most of the new accounts paypal places holds no mater where sales money comes from. And their marks are 60 days from the first received payment without any disputes, 10-20 transactions without any disputes and 1000-2000 eur sum received without any disputes (they specify numbers for each account differently. Only 60 days period does not change). Once you pass that they should stop placing holds.

Just understand that both- ebay and paypal- can place their own holds on payments and their requarements to lift them are different.

And there is no 100% guaranty the holds will not come back after some time.
On my personal account i passed these requarements and holds were removed. After that about 10 more transactions were received, no disputes/cases, all clear, but holds came back... and after 4 more sales were removed again. So holds can come back any time.

I received one account set (eb+pp) where payments are instant wthout any holds. However after 3 sales on ebay, even with a feedback received, pp started to put the holds on all the next transactions.

....ogh, havent noticent that you are talking about USA accounts :) They might be different. My post was about accounts registered in EU.
