Changing my pp mobile number
 

Hello guys,
Please I want to change my US paypal mobile number.(No longer have access to the number)

I read here sometime ago of someone that wanted to change his mobile number and he was requested to verify using the same old number before any change could be made.
How true is that?
Will I run into the same?

I've change a couple of my mobile numbers on PP in the last few months. My Accounts are around 45-60 days old.

I added the new number (which excepts text messages) as a secondary mobile number leaving the primary number the original number. PP then sends a text to that new number to verify. Then I let it sit like that for a week or so. After some time passed I went into PP and set the new number as the primary mobile number and deleted the original number.

I've done this on 3 accounts with no problem. I'm not saying it will work for everyone 100% of the time and no one will ever encounter a problem. I'm just giving my experience.

Whenever I ring eBay I ring from my mobile which I have not registered on eBay, they do ALWAYS ask for the original phone number that the account was set up with, I have kept all the original details of the account which I did buy from 1 of the account sellers on here, so anything eBay/PayPal might want to and have indeed asked me in the past I can answer straight away with no hesitation so everything sounds like it is my genuine information.

I rang them earlier this morning as I have posted about elsewhere, about an overseas buyer, the only number they showed me to ring them on was an 0345 number, so as soon as I got to speak to an agent I got them to ring me back on my mobile and pointed out 0345 was not an option when I was phoning Fromm a mobile and about an eBay issue, the agent agreed and phoned mine back no problem. It is all about having the original details to hand and being able to reel them off no matter who asks.
