$2,000/weekly sent as gift?

Hi guys,

I am working with a marketer in another country and a trying to figure out the best way to send payments.

It's sort of off the books Instagram marketing. Would I be able to get away with sending ~$2000 weekly as a "Gift" via PayPal?

Anyone have any other solutions for low or fee free payments?

Your not going to be able to no

Botcoin would be lower fees if you used that

They'll crack down on you, when? I'm not sure but PayPal definitely flags account with excess gift payments especially as of lately. They've even been shutting down accounts that only had a few gift payments. It's dumb though, like why have the option if you're just going to shut down the account? But their site, their rules.. I'd recommend Google Wallet.

Yeah thanks man. I was thinking about Google Wallet. I'll that out.
Any further insights would be greatly appreciated or experience with Google Payments for regular payments.

B-B-B-B-BITCOIN!!!! Is the answer you're looking for. Can be more difficult, than PayPal, but if you don't want to pay fees, it's the way to go. Just make sure, that you buy it from a main exchange.

Won't I lose some money buying it though?

Yeah you will. If you're comfortable enough with the other party to consider Bitcoin, you might as well just send your payments with W/U or M/G. $2000 per week would be easy with either of those since the transaction would be less than $3k. It would cost like $18 for either of those two. You'd pay just as much, if not more, if you were to buy $2000 worth of BTC every week. I seriously don't recommend BTC.

I forgot to mention, DO NOT try doing that with Google Wallet. Your account would be shut down almost instantly. Google Wallet prohibits business transactions, and there's no way you're going to convince them $8k per month isn't for business. I learned about Wallet the hard way. I got booted for receiving like a $500 payment.

if youre losing fees on Bitcoin it will probably be cheaper to just send the payment through paypal as a regular payment instead of trying to mess with them to avoid paying the fees.
Although the large amount of money youre trying to send might still prove an issue.
Why not simply do bank transfers? those amount are large enough to justify that - It comes to over $100k per year.

Yeah I can do Transferwise for a $19 fee for $2k. I'll see where Google Payments takes me.

I have mixed feelings towards BTC. I keep a few coins in my wallet and from time to time I've thought about purchasing more as investments, but I always talked myself out of it. Too much talk of instability or wallets being hacked or BTC dramatically losing value, or etc...

Personally I think it's great for shady/illegal transactions but I don't trust it enough to start making large business purchases with it quite yet. I may just be behind the times. :noidea:

Ah yes I see your point. I keep BTC in a nominated currency so they are not effected by BTC fluctuations

Really handy for quickly swapping money from £ to $ just before out currency lost 20% of its value :)

It's really far from shady, believe me. Last I heard, Walmart was thinking of adopting it in the US. More and more retailers and e-tailers will adopt it in due course.

Also some people do think its great for illegal transactions, its not, because of how transparent the currency actually is. You can trace it back to a single individual if the authority ever wanted to.

If your scared about volatility, then just use something like Coinbase. As soon as funds come in as bitcoin, convert to USD, and vice versa for when you need it.

I was a complete noob with BTC 6 months ago, and tbh I just treat it like another currency now. I used to deal predominantly with GBP, USD, EUR, now I also deal with BTC, simple as that.

Most of them have separate wallets now to sell and buy BTC instantly. I use CoinBase myself
