New PP limited with VCC suspicious activty?
 

Hi opened a stealth ebay and pp. Used VCC from the marketplace to confirm. I went to log in today and it says the account is limited and they need to confirm my identity because there was suspicious activity on the credit card attached??

The wanted to confirm phone number, confirm credit card and have my confirm a bank account. I hadn't added a bank account because I wanted to see what limits I got on the ebay I created... but I tried anyway and it just keeps telling me it can't process the request (to add the bank account)

Is the entire thing just hosed? And did I lose the bank account that I TRIED to enter the info for?

What on earth could the "suspcious activity" be on a VCC that I obtained from here?

It may be worth talking to the VCC seller to see if this is something they have experience with already

Sounds like a generic limitation to me.
They will say that sort of thing if they have any reason for suspicion against the account - doesnt mean there was anything wrong with the VCC. I received that very same message suspicious activity on a credit card attached to the account) several times on accounts that never even had a VCC attached.

I would agree with Slokoer here

eBay and PayPal and are a bit lazy sometimes and will just send out a limitation notice that has nothing to do with the actual reason the account was limited

Is there a reason I can't add a bank account? It just says it can't process the request. Not sure if I just need to give up and assume the account is bad and start over with new ebay and pp. Ebay isn't even set up yet to sale but has the same name/address used on the pp.

The reason you cannot add a bank account is that they want your money to be in their pockets so it can earn interest. Greedy mofos
