adding new paypal to old ebay
 
so since paypal and ebay are separated now, can i link a diffirent paypal to my old ebay account? do names really have to match etc?

Yes names would need to match and may last a few days maybe a month or so hard to say .
Not a lasting method

I have done this and some last a week, some last forever (never link, no matter how many eBay accounts i link the same paypal too and I still use them years later), and some link and suspend the eBay right away..

A good rule of thumb is the stronger the eBay account, the less they will look at it.

Technically no data can match. You can link them with totaly different info. Will be good for BUYING and no problems will be there. However try to SELL something and you will end up limited quickly. Been there, done that few times for a test.
