Can Paypal see which bank you are with
 

Hi there

I am going to be created a new Paypal account. My question is when I link my bank account to my paypal PROVIDING I ONLY USE IT TO WITHDRAW FUNDS FROM MY ACCOUNT. Will Paypal be able to see which bank I am with. For example I am with Halifax so if I link my bank to paypal. Can Paypal see I am with Halifax or not?

If they can, when (if) they ask for a bank statement as verification can I send a statement from a different bank

Yes they can

The sort code will tell them exactly which ranch you are with

If they ask for a statement the statement will need to be from the correct bank

Damn straight they can see which bank you're with - and it's a good thing they can...how else are they going to send you your money?
