Which Banks Are Recommended For PayPal
 

Just finished reading the stealth guide yesterday, and I have complied a TON of questions I am trying to get answered, before I create my first account...

Regarding BANKS... Guide states a lot of banks allow mismatched names for receiving deposits, and allow sub-accounts.

What are the best recommended banks that allow mismatched names, as well as have sub-accounts? Guide States Bank of America is good, and Chase...

Just about every bank can be used and will also allow you to have multiple checking accounts open, but it's best to spread your banking activity between multiple institutions in case one bank closes your accounts. It's rare but it happens. BoA shut down my account last year and I was SOL until I got more account opened.

I prefer local credit unions over banks these days. Much better interest rates. I'm getting 1.5% on a checking account.

I believe Chase is one of the few which won't work (I could be wrong) along with BB&T and any "prepaid card bank account" (Green Dot Bank, etc).

I know you're trying to be careful but you're overthinking A LOT of this.

Chase is good.

Small local banks and credit unions are ideal.

TD is one to avoid although they are ok most of the time, not always.

I like Chase a lot and I like PNC. PNC virtual wallet, look it up. Its pretty nice.

Avoid Affinity Federal Credit Union and American Express, this bank does NOT accept mismatch name

seems a stupid question but googling around i found many different info: is it possible to add to an usa paypal account a non-us bank account (european) in order to withdraw money from there?

You can't add a European Bank to a USA PayPal....will not work.

Local credit unions are great, they are there to work with you and understand your position since you are from the community. When I opened my account they asked me what I did for work ETC. I told them I sell online and this bank account would be for an eBay account I have to keep funds separate for better tracking of numbers. They were more than excited to hear and support another local business... plus CU's typically have outstanding savings accounts, mine offers Money Mover checkings accounts which give you outstanding interest rates for every $1,000 you put in.

Well, Affinity Federal Credit Union bank reject small deposit from PayPal. It was fine only checking, NOT saving... Why is different?
