Changing your surname - what do you think?
 

Hey,

Recently I've been thinking about changing my surname for PayPal purposes, such action would allow me to start all over again with my real information. I obivously want to do this because stealth accounts aren't enough for me as I want to start processing payments automatically via my website.

What do you think about it? There's a bit paperwork but for me it seems like it's kinda worth it.

Changing just a surname can be done, but it will raise flags over at PayPal

They will need a lot of documentation from you

Have you ever had a PayPal in your own real details before in the past?

if you change surname that will not be sufficient as your date of birth and address will be same.
read stealth guide and you will realize that all info needs to be new in order to stop them linking you to your previous account

Why would it raise flags over at PayPal?

I mean making a new PayPal account with the changed surname because the current one is already limited. With a different address too obivously.

Because changing a name isn't exactly an everyday thing to do...

Making a new PayPal is very different to changing the name on a current PayPal

Your still going to run into issues though if you already have a PayPal in your own name with your own DOB

I don't have one and that's why I am considering it, to actually start all over again. My current data is blacklisted I think.

Saying 2 conflicting things there

1 - You have had a PayPal in the past in your own name and own BOD = You cannot make a new PayPal in your own details

2 - You have not had a PayPal in the past with your own name and DOB = You can make a PayPal in your own details
