Unlink Bank Account From Stealth Account to Another Stealth Account
 

Hey Stealthers and forum members,

I have a business Paypal with a legit EIN number but it's attached to a regular checking account.

I just recently created a business checking account with that EIN number so I plan on linking it to the business Paypal, so I was wondering if I can remove the regular checking account that's currently associated with the business Paypal and move it to another stealth personal Paypal account without being linked?

Looking forward to your guys' suggestions and replies.

Be linked instantly.. sooner or later both accounts would go down.

You can add your new business bank account to Paypal but I don't recommend trying to add your old personal bank account to a new Paypal. I do recommend opening a new personal checking account and closing the old one. It's a 5 minute process at the bank. Super easy precaution to take.

I've never tried reusing a bank account but based on what I've read here, I'm pretty sure you would get a message from Paypal saying the bank account can't be used when you try to add it to a second account.

Hey thanks for all the thoughtful replies.

I will take your guys' advice and not link the previously used checking account to a new Paypal account.

Just out of curiosity, what is your reasoning when you tell your banker you need to close an active checking account to create a new one?

I used to open accounts online then close in the branch if necessary.

You could also just tell them you have a reason to believe your identity may have been compromised. They'll open a new account for you no questions asked.
