Are they still hand in hand?
 

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows what has changed since Ebay and Paypal got separated business (theoretically?!). Can they share information (user details, names, addresses) between each other even after they are no longer one company?

Lets say someone gets suspended on Ebay... Paypal is going to suspend you as well? Or it all depends on the nature of the suspension?

I understand that after an Ebay account got suspended then the Paypal address goes on a blacklist and it cannot be reused again otherwise Ebay links you. But what happens today in 2016 with the Paypal account after Ebay suspension.

I can find old threads before they got separated but how they do it today?

1. Ebay user gets suspended for whatever reason
2. Paypal holds my payment details, confirmed names, addresses
3. Open a new ebay stealth account
4. Open a new Paypal account with my old/original details (name, address etc..)
5. Attach the new Paypal account to the stealth account
6. What happens next?

As far as stealth is concerned nothing has changed over the year.

Does that mean my Paypal account also gets suspended regardless why Ebay suspended my Ebay account?

Step 6. I loose my stealth account and new Paypal account?

Same as before. Sometimes and sometimes not.

Really, almost no difference than before. Ebay still owns the new Paypal company and the agreements to keep things in place as far as holds and sharing info was a full five year contract, so nothing much has changed except for the ability for Paypal to grow but ownership is basically the same. Policies are the same, sharing info is almost the same etc..
