How to refund someone?
 

A friend from china sent me USD for helping them arrange a courier for one of their UK customers. But their customer didn't allow the courier to collect the parcel. So i need to refund the USD they sent. When i click the refund button on the transaction, it says i don't have enough funds to refund them.

But i do, i have a balance, but its in GBP.

How do i refund them????

The only way i can see you could refund is to add USD as a currency you accept in your paypal, then convert the amount from GBP to USD within the paypal account. Then refund.

But via this method i lose 3GBP.

Surely there is a way to simply refund the original USD back without incurring fees???

call paypal and ask them to do it and say you thought funds would stay in original currency

if you requested funds to be converted then you would need to pay the difference due to currency fluctuations

if through ebay, you maybe able to click refund on ebay
