PayPal was fine until I tried to buy something
 

My PayPal account which is fully verified business account (instant bank verification, debit card and phone number)... It had a balance from an eBay sale sitting in there for a few days. I decided to buy something from Walmart and bam.. Immediately limited requesting supplier information, proof of address etc... Says the limitation is medium risk. What is going on with PayPal right now? Are they blocking all payments? The account is 32 days old, payment was received 6 days ago, tried to make purchase today..

That's a rather new paypal account and a pretty speedy timeframe to be making a purchase after your first sale. You have not established trust with paypal yet. Far from it it would appear.
What was the item you were selling? if it was a higher risk item then you have your answer right there.

Thank you for replying. I eventually contacted them and they claim the system is blocking a lot of payments this week. They said technical is working to resolve it and that they were placing my account on that list to be "fixed". We shall see if this is true.

Dont believe a word the 'monkeys' at paypal costumer service tell you. They know less than we do and they work there.

I agree, we cannot blame them though because Paypal is a bureaucracy. Only he people on top get to know the important stuff.

Are you on a new user on your computer with your VPN or fresh IP on when you make that Walmart purchase?

A lot of times what happens is: people don't turn on all stealth security settings when making a purchase on a 3rd party site like walmart because technically they're not signing into Paypal, but the minute you process the order via Paypal it will transfer you to their (paypal) login, so if you're not careful it will link to a previous suspended account just like that.

OMG....YES! It's oversights like this that cost me so much time and effort before I caught on. YES, well said.
