Negative balance - can't receive payments
 

Hi everyone,

A few days ago I had a "haven't receive my item" request opened on Ebay. I talked to a buyer and we both agreed to wait two weeks before talking about refund.

Later a few people messaged me that they can't buy stuff from me, because of Paypal errors "We can't process your payment right now".

I logged in my Paypal account and saw the negative balance (about $200). So they basically held the full amount of the Ebay transaction.

But there is no signs of limitation and I didn't receive any e-mails from Paypal.

So my question is why I can't receive payments and what I should do in this case?

would appreciate any advise.

can you clarify
how do you know that you cannot receive payments?
has someone tried to pay you and been blocked?
or are payments that go in being swallowed up to pay for the neg balance?

"payments that go in being swallowed up to pay for the neg balance" - this would be most logical way and I expected this to happen.

But for some reason Paypal didn't let me accept any payments. People were trying to buy stuff from me (not on Ebay, but other marketplace) and got errors.

Maybe it has something to do with that particular marketplace (I didn't have any messages or sales on Ebay during this "limited" period) - I'm not sure.

Anyways, I resolved the problem by communicating with a buyer, who opened a case. He agreed to close the case, which was really nice of him. We still communicating through Ebay messages.

Right after the case was closed - my Paypal back to normal.
