COMPLETE, FULL 21 day hold even with tracking...?
 

Is anyone else getting a full 21 day hold on most/many payments, even though tracking was immediately uploaded, confirmed on Eb & pp sides, and shipped right away, shows delivered, etc etc....?

Is it the time of year? Are things that high risk around now? I never noticed this before, never had to wait beyond the 2-3 days after tracking showed delivered. Now I got this on 2 different accounts.

Just checking to see if it's just me, or if it's nothing to be concerned about. Thanks.

perhaps more info on the accounts such as, age, $$ in sales, number of items sold....

Sometimes it does happen

A lot of the time if you phone PayPal after the period that the holds should have been released they can still manually release the funds for you

In this case it could well be a different situation though. It may be based on the performance or your account or a certain type of item your selling. Give the time of year that wouldn't be a surprise if that was the case

Ive heard about such instances from other people recently. I dont think this is the norm though.
How many items has this happened to you on? what value were the items?

Just normal, low risk items in the $20-$150 range.... I never had that happen to me before, on any accounts, now out of the blue 2 accounts don't have the payments released... even the "expected clearing date" doesn't change once tracking is uploaded and/or even when tracking shows received.

I've been attending the Church of Aspkin for years, this is definitely something new, and not by the normal limiting factors like type of items, high price, slow shipping, etc.. I just wasn't sure if more people were experiencing this or if maybe I did something that caused it and didn't realize it. My guess (so far) is that it's the time of year, anyone selling reasonably busily is watched pretty close, especially if they don't have an extensive history before the few months leading up to the holidays.

Just be patient you always get this at the very benign keep doing good job all limits will disappear
