New PP US account buying limit question?
 

I tried to purchase an item on ebay which is over $1000 and got a message that I can't use paypal as a method of payment. I attempted with different items and had to go all way down to $490 and only then was paypal available as payment option.

I searched for the answer but couldn't find anything on this forum or anywhere else, the only results that are listed everywhere are related to selling limits.

Has anyone had similar experience or has some info about it.

You do not have paypal's trust. That's the long and short of it. This is a common problem on new paypal accounts and dont be surprised if even that amount did not go through when you attempted to make payment.
