Unable To Confirm Bank Account Instantly ?
 

Went to add new bank account to Paypal account tonight and clicked "confirm instantly", as I usually do. Input the online banking info and it was processing for about 2 seconds and then popped up with an error message saying that they cannot verify my bank account instantly, and instead they are going to send 2 deposits to the account. There is a link now in the Wallet that says "confirm instantly" and when I click that, it makes me input the online banking info again. Tried and yet again, it popped up with an error...this time instantly rather than trying to process at all. I've never had this issue before, and I know I input the username/password correctly both times I tried confirming the bank account. Has anyone run into this before? I am fairly certain that it is an issue within Paypal or the third party they use to verify bank accounts, but I don't know.

Sounds like a glitch.
OR
The bank account you were using belongs to a bank that was undergoing maintenance - many of them do so Saturday nights. in this case you would not be successful since the instant verification cannot possibly go through.
I hope you didn't try again and again forcing paypal to go the deposit route. If you only tried twice you should see the option to do the instant verification in the morning. Make sure the bank is not under any sort of maintenance and try again.

I only tried twice...once was right after inputting the routing and account number, and after that failed I went to the wallet and tried again. After that, I left it alone.

Good. Avoid pushing the limits, especially when they are not exactly known.

Retry after a couple of days and hopefully enjoy saving that bank account.

Logged in this morning and went to the wallet...it no longer had the link to confirm instantly. All it said was that they sent two deposits to my account and I need to confirm with those deposits. I guess if they give you whatever error when trying to confirm instantly, then they automatically go ahead with the two deposits. What a crock.

That's actually not the case from my experience...
What bank is it youre using?

It is the case. Last night the box had a link in it that said "confirm instantly instead". I never did anything with it, and now today there is no option to confirm instantly. It says they've already sent 2 deposits to my account and to confirm it that way.
