The few online Canadian banks like Tangerine or so - could be experimented with. I don't have the need for Canadian VBA but might be worth experimentation COWEN if you have time

When opening a bank account in Bank of America, Citi, Chase, Wells Fargo...do you open a savings or a checking account? Can a savings account be linked to paypal?

I open both - both work - checking has way less fees for withdrawal - be careful using savings account for withdrawal

So far in my research Capital One and Citi (not 100% sure about Citi) are the ones that do not charge a monthly fee. All others go from $5 to $15. Is there any other bank that works with Paypal with no monthly fee?

What about TD Bank, does it work with Paypal?
I just linked my Wells Fargo account to Paypal, all good. But when I try to withdraw gives an error that says we need more information, please use the old website. In the old paypal website when I try to withdraw it does nothing, just stays in the same page. Is that a problem of Paypal or maybe it does not go thru because of another thing, like mismatch account names?

MM78 100% right! It is impossible to register USA bank account just with gmail account somewhere in Asia ;) It is impossible, even if you will find correct SSN ;)

does Gobank, simple, etc still work now? i'm using wells fargo now and its fine but it would be nice to have something easier to create new checking accounts

I have a number of Cap1 accounts attached to PP's and I use them all the time... I transferred money earlier this week and it worked just fine.

BUT the names match exactly, and they've been attached for 5-6 years. Don't know if that makes any difference...

I already have a PayPal account set up with my personal Visa debit card, but need a US bank to enable PayPal PayFlow Pro on my Shopify so I can withdraw from PayPal to my Visa Debit card. I am not a US citizen/resident.

Since Payoneer is no longer accepted, I'm at a loss as to what to do next. (I don't have the funds currently for an LLC).

@MM78 mentioned some VBAs were being sold right here in the forums. Would they work for me? I tried and they all required SSN but I don't know about the Micro deposits ones...
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.
