Does PayPal UK use AVS when a new CC is added?

Does PayPal (I am on UK) use AVS if you add a real debit card from your bank to it?

I have my bank account already attached and it's an old PayPal. My current card just expired and my billing address has changed to a foreign one since, so I cannot use this address on PayPal.

If I put the new debit card to the PayPal and use my old billing address, will it be refused by AVS as the addresses won't match?

It will depend on the bank but most will use some level of AVS
