HMRC in USA? Brother & Sister Stealth Paypal?
 

Hi, this is my first post on this forum. I was reading up on HMRC and when I go to their website it leads me to "gov.uk". So my question is, does the HMRC touch USA accounts or is it strictly for UK paypal/ebay users?

I also needs some thoughts on my idea. I have a couple brothers and sisters and they all don't use paypal. Instead of me creating stealth accounts, I was thinking of creating accounts in my brothers and sisters name (with their permission) and selling on their accounts right before I hit the 200/20k 1099k limit. Keep in mind, I will place their SSN onto the account in order to make it into a business account with higher ebay limits 1000/$25,000. Is this a good idea?

You only need to deal with HMRC if you are earning and keeping money in the UK or if you sell over the UK VAT threshold in the UK

You can use an EIN instead of getting family involved which is generally a much better idea IMO
