Default Paypal "Phone number not registered in your name" help please...

Hi, I have a balance in my Paypal and when I try to use it to make a purchase I'm asked to verify phone for security but I keep getting the " this phone number is not registered in your name" message. This is the number I used when I made the paypal and I haven't changed anything. Even though the phone number used does show on the drop-down menu as an option, I still get this message. I've been searching the threads for days and even tried the bluestack method but that doesn't work. I never had this problem before so I don't know what is going on with Paypal now.
I noticed that some people here say there is a resolution to this problem but they won't reveal it in the threads. Can someone inbox me a method if you don't want to share it publicly.

Had this problem several times. Changing number will not help, it will still try to use the old one. Usually i just call to PP and explain the situation and they disable the verification at all. Do the same. Just have under your hand all the data about the account including card numbers or account numbers as they usually ask for them to confirm you are the account owner. Or you can give it a week or so- people are talking "we do not recognize your device" error simply goes away after some time, but i have no patience to wait and always call them.
